This year, our team has been working closely with Fair Trade producer groups Arawali, Aspiration and Asha to create some unique homewares. They are a great way to style a student accommodation or brighten any room in the house! The producers, Asha Handicrafts is a Fair Trade organisation committed to the preservation and promotion of Indian handicrafts across the globe. It provides marketing support to more than 800 Indian artisans through a sustainable global market and helps them to preserve the art and craft of India. Asha Handicrafts offer these crafts people hope and a promise of a world where livelihoods are assured, and traditional skills and handmade products are valued. Products are made of natura locally available Indian materials like wood, ceramic, textile and reflect the authentic style, design and colours of their rich Indian heritage.
