Bettys is a Yorkshire institution, known around the world as the home of afternoon tea, and cherished for our warm Yorkshire welcome and delectable cakes and treats. The first Bettys Tea Room opened in Harrogate, North Yorkshire in 1919. These days, as well as our six Café Tea Rooms in Yorkshire, our specialities are delivered across the world through our online shop. 

After nearly 100 years, we are still a family business and we’ve passed the values of our Swiss-Yorkshire heritage down through the generations. At our Craft Bakery in Harrogate we’re dedicated to using the finest quality ingredients – often locally sourced – and nurturing artisan skills and we share our knowledge and passion for cooking, baking and good food at Bettys Cookery School.
